Managed IT Support

Managed IT Support at Reboot

Managed IT support means we look after your technology day to day, rather than waiting for something to break. We watch your systems around the clock and catch most faults early, and when you do need us you speak to an engineer who already knows your network, your setup and how your business works.

Round-the-clock monitoring

We keep an eye on your servers, network and devices continuously, so most faults are spotted and dealt with before you notice them.

Behind The Scenes

What we are doing when nothing is wrong

A quiet month is not a month where nothing happened. It is usually the result of the work below, most of which you will never see, and all of which is the reason you were not ringing us.

Patching, every month

Operating systems, applications and firmware updated on a schedule, not when somebody happens to remember.

Backup verification

We restore from your backups periodically, because one nobody has tested is a hope rather than a safety net.

Security monitoring

Firewall, email and endpoint alerts reviewed as they arrive, so nothing odd is simply logged and forgotten.

Capacity and health checks

Disk, memory, temperatures and error logs checked before any of them become the reason a server stops.

Documentation

A current record of what you have and why it is set up that way, so any of our engineers can pick it straight up.

Regular reviews

What broke, what keeps breaking and what is nearing end of life, so replacements are planned rather than forced.

How We Respond

What happens when you need us

There is no portal to learn and no script to work through. When something breaks you ring us, you speak to someone who already knows your setup, and you find out what is actually happening. Here is what that looks like in practice.

You ring, a person answers

No queue to sit in and no chatbot. You get an engineer who already knows your network, so you are not spending the first ten minutes explaining what you have. Most problems are sorted there and then, remotely, while you are still on the phone.

If it needs an engineer, we come out

Some faults cannot be fixed down a phone line, and we will say so rather than talking you through it at arm length. An engineer comes to you, usually the same day, and it is someone who already knows your setup rather than a stranger with a clipboard.

You will know where things stand

We tell you what is wrong, what we are doing about it and roughly how long it should take, in plain English. If something is going to take longer than expected, you hear that from us rather than having to chase for an update.

Support hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm Monitoring runs around the clock, so we are often on to a problem before anyone has picked up the phone.

Who We Support

The businesses we look after

We are a Norfolk company supporting Norfolk businesses, which in practice means a lot of listed buildings, thick flint walls, long driveways and sites that were never built with a network in mind. These are the kinds of places we work in most.

Estates and land management

Halls, cottages, yards and offices spread across land that was never wired for any of this.

Farming and agriculture

Connectivity that reaches the grain store and the workshop, not just the farmhouse.

Learn more

Hospitality, holiday lets and parks

Guest WiFi that works on arrival, without anyone ringing you about it on a Saturday.

Care providers

Systems that have to work every shift, holding information that has to be handled properly.

Professional services and offices

Email, files and phones that simply work, so nobody loses a morning to IT.

Retail and trade

Tills, card payments and stock that cannot afford to stop on a Saturday afternoon.

Getting Started

Switching to Reboot

Changing IT provider sounds like more trouble than it is worth, which is why plenty of businesses stay put with someone they have stopped being happy with. In practice it is five steps, most of which happen quietly in the background, and none of which should cost you a working day.

  1. 1

A conversation, then a look around

We start by asking what is actually going wrong, then come and see the setup for ourselves rather than quoting off a list. It costs nothing and puts you under no obligation, and you will get a straight answer even if that answer is that you do not need us.

  2. 2

    A written assessment

You get it in writing: what you have, what condition it is in, what we would change first and what it would cost. It is yours to keep whether or not you go ahead, and it is plain English rather than a specification you need someone else to translate.

  3. 3

    Handover

We deal with your current provider, collect passwords, licences, domain details and documentation, and agree a switch-over date between us. You should not have to referee that conversation, and we would rather it stayed civil so nothing goes missing on the way out.

  4. 4

    Our tooling goes on

Monitoring, patching, backup checking and endpoint protection are rolled out across your machines, usually without anyone needing to stop what they are doing. From that point we can see problems coming rather than waiting for the phone to ring.

  5. 5

    We get to know you

The first few weeks are spent learning how your business actually runs, which systems matter most and who to speak to about what. We document it as we go, so whichever engineer picks up your call already knows your setup.

Tied into a contract elsewhere?

Tell us when it ends and we will pick the conversation back up nearer the time. We would rather talk to you in six months than push you into paying twice.
